What People Are Saying

Shortly after adopting my pit bull, Arya, it became apparent that she had some behavioral issues, making it difficult to even take her on daily walks. A recommendation from my vet led me to Mike Dickinson, who gave me the tools I needed to asses my dog’s needs and manage her properly. He quickly deduced that she was fear-aggressive, and helped me to re-focus her and teach her that I was in control and there was no need to be on the defense 24/7. Today we walk calmly through crowded parks while other dogs bark at her and she walks on unfazed and unafraid. Arya and I will forever benefit from what Mike gave us. I wholeheartedly recommend him and his business, Chloe’s Classmates.

We originally turned to Chloe’s Classmates for Facetime sessions a few weeks ago because our dog is very aggressive on leash towards other living beings. As the owner of an older rescue dog whose background we know very little about, Michael identified almost immediately that our dog’s aggression is a result of insecurity and anxiety. We thought we would just be working to learn how to stop him from barking and pulling but instead, we have worked on building trust with our pooch. During our sessions we work on a lot of basic commands like, loose leash walking, down, stay, leave it, etc. but what makes Chloe’s Classmates so terrific is that while we train, Michael teaches us to read our dog’s body language and identify what triggers his anxiety. Michael is teaching us how to curb his anxious behaviors and help him understand his relationship with us better. Since starting with Michael we have seen a terrific improvement in our dog’s obedience and overall happiness, we are beyond thrilled and encouraged to keep going.
